2020 Alumni Challenge Issued

9th ANNUAL ALUMNI CHALLENGE

“It’s Official!”  President Jack Thornburg has issued the Alumni Challenge for the 2020 Sierra-Cascade Logging Conference to be held February 6, 7 and 8 in Anderson, CA.

The Challenge was established in 2012 as way for forestry school alumni to support their respective logging sports teams (Cal, Cal Poly, Humboldt and Shasta College) in a good-natured competition as well as promote the logging sports exhibition during the Conference. The money raised during the competition by the alumni of each school is sent to each school's logging sports team following the Conference to help with the equipment and travel costs to attend the Conference as well as other similar events held during the year. The Conference maintains a permanent plaque which memorializes each year's Challenge winner.

The deadline for having all pledges in for this year's Challenge is 3:00PM, Friday, February 7th.
